Founded by young people for young people.
Activate Green Trust started small, teaching students from years 3- 10 at Brookhouse International School the fundamentals of the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) and why recycling matters. When the pandemic pushed everything online, the team kept the momentum alive with interactive virtual sessions, games, quizzes, and hands-on projects like at-home gardening and recycling challenges. As the group grew, so did its structure. A rotational leadership model gave young people real experience running different projects, and by 2021 the organisation had matured into a focused, professionally run executive committee, the same operational discipline that still shapes how we work today.
The principles behind every project.
Innovative
We believe in constantly seeking new and creative ways to tackle environmental challenges, from developing sustainable waste management practices to promoting alternative solutions that reduce our ecological footprint.
Collaborative
We understand that achieving environmental sustainability requires collective effort. By working closely with partner organisations, local communities, and individuals, we create a network of shared knowledge and resources.
Driven
We believe that the most effective solutions come from within the communities we serve. By empowering local populations with the education and tools they need, we enable them to take ownership of their environmental future.
